6/27/09-Damn Bullets at the Smoke and Barrel Tavern with Cletus Got Shot

Howdy friends and relatives!  Damn Bullets will be give be giving a performance this Saturday June 27th at the Smoke and Barrel Tavern on the hopping and happening Dixon Street of Fayetteville, AR.  The boys are sharing the bill with hometown favorites Cletus Got Shot, and the show has already received some attention from the press.  I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  Also, don't forget Damn Bullets will be in Eureka Springs on the day before, Friday the 26th.  They'll be playing outdoors at Basin Park in the Historic Downtown area from 4-6 pm, and then later that evening at 8 pm at the Squid and Whale.  Hope to see you out there friends.

6/18/09-Lindsy's Birthday

Last Thursday night will go down in the ages as Lindsy East's 28th birthday party at his beautiful green house in Historic Hillcrest.  Following a performance by Rod Bryan and Co. the Bullets took the stage to wild applause and delivered a moving hour and a half mix of song and dance numbers.  Lindsy said, "I've never had a birthday partry before!  The Damn Bullets just really rock my world and I'm stoked to have had them!"  In an interview after the show, bassist D.J. Bennett responded to questions about the boys plans for recording their next album, "It's in the works," he says, "as soon as we can move enough copies of Electric Folk Boogie," the band's second full length album.  The show at Lindsy's came immediately following the Bullets weekly Thursday night performance at Damgoode Pies just up the street from Lindsy's Green House.  We want to thank all our listeners and supporters who attended both the Damgoode show and the one at Lindsy's last Thursday.  After a week of practice, the Bullets are headed up to Northwest Arkansas for a couple of gigs in Eureka Springs and another in Fayetteville next weekend.  Hope to see y'all out there.

6/5/09-Wakarusa

Thanks to all our awesome fans who voted for us, we played the Revival Tent at Wakarusa this year--a truly memorable experience!  There were about 250 or so in the tent with us during our set, but the sound traveled well out into the festival grounds.  Our friend Zacharia was there with a film  crew and will be making a documentary about our experience--look for it soon.  After our performance we had the rest of the weekend to relax and check out some of the other bands.  I really enjoyed hearing Dirtfoot from Shreveport, LA and got to meet and chat with the guys after one of their sets--great people with real style and an original sound!  Highlights on Sunday were Gomez and Mountain Sprout, and I also enjoyed hanging with some of the dudes from Corduroy.  One of the weekend's best times for me was in the Stagehand camping area on Sunday night, playing songs and drinking beer into the wee hours after most everyone else had gone.  Thanks again to our fans without whose support none of it would have been possible!
